This UK headquartered company has sales and support offices in 13 countries across EMEA, Asia, China and Australia. Their situation was:
- Payroll Manager plus 2 staff processing 300 UK payroll internally plus accountant assists with the payment of ex-pats
- 12 different local payroll providers paying 120 overseas staff plus new China operation forecasting up to 100 locals and ex-pats
- Reasonably happy with existing domestic payroll software and resistant to the upheaval of change
- Good service from 6 overseas bureaux but not happy with the rest
- No facility for consolidation of international payrolls
- Only small offices in most overseas locations, so all accounting and treasury management handled from the UK in £ and €.
- Initially implemented a fully managed service across all 14 countries
- Parallel running of UK payroll
- Taking over management of the 6 good bureaux
- Replacing the 6 unsatisfactory bureaux
- Setting up payroll in China.
- In addition, Consolidation of International Payroll: iipay manages the distribution of net pay and associated costs - the client makes only two payments, in £ and €, which are then disbursed across all 13 countries
- Once the client was happy with the parallel running of the UK, the Payroll Manager took over administration of the UK payroll using iipay's web-based system
- iipay continues to manage the overseas payrolls but the Payroll Manager has full visibility and reporting across all countries
