This manufacturing company has two UK sites and a recently acquired site in Ireland. Their total payroll is c.5,000 plus 2,000 pensioners paid monthly. Their situation was:
- Outsourced UK payroll processing to large service provider
- Complex agreements on overtime and allowances required an administrative team to collect and collate payroll data to send to service provider
- Data submission improved through access to web site but questions raised about precisely what the provider did for their fee
- Irish payroll run by payroll administrator at Irish site but little HQ visibility or control
- Pension payroll processed on a modified and ageing UK payroll system, proving difficult to support. Unable to support quarterly payments to some pensioners.
- Implemented single web-based system with payroll rules for all needs - UK, UK pension and Ireland. Included Consolidation of International Payrolls facility
- iipay developed custom module that calculates overtime and entitlements from data uploaded from client's Time & Attendances system. iipay then upload all employee and pensioner details for a flat fee per head and run parallel payroll periods
- Once client happy with results of parallel running, day-to-day payroll administration handed back to in-house payroll staff using iipay web-based application
