iiPay has a unique opportunity for a highly experienced and motivated Accounts Assistant who wants to take responsibility for accurate ledgers and AP data input to help drive to our goal of ‘Paying the Planet’.


Role Overview

Our highly motivated and engaged team members are at the heart of our success! This role requires preparation of the management accounts for the US entity, monthly Bank reconciliations and upkeep of the company’s prepayments. The individual will be highly self-motivated with a desire to succeed and a high degree of confidential integrity. This position is based in Cheltenham.


Key Objectives of the role

The successful candidate requires experience, skills and a proven track record in the following areas:

  • Preparation of Management Accounts for the US entity
  • Timely and accurate AP data input into SAP By Design.
  • Monthly bank reconciliations and follow up on un-reconciled items.
  • Upkeep of the firm’s prepayments and accruals through monthly reconciling schedules.
  • Maintenance and upkeep of fixed assets registers.
  • Adhoc assistance with the monthly accounts close of the UK and US trading entities as advised by the Financial Controller and Management Accountant.
  • Perform Multi-currency payments and bank upload files.
  • Weekly reconciliations of timesheet ledgers to ensure time-postings are correctly reported.
  • Routine administrative duties such as filing and answering the telephone.
  • Manage the internal UK Payroll and pension auto-enrolment.
  • Liaise with People & Culture as well as the US outsourcer to coordinate internal US Payroll.
  • Adhoc reporting as tasked by the Financial Controller and Management Accountant.
  • AAT qualified, qualified by experience or currently studying for AAT
  • 2+ years experience in processing UK payroll with the confidence to prepare and complete the internal monthly payroll run autonomously
  • Working knowledge of Accounting/Bookkeeping Systems
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (essential)
  • Working knowledge of SAGE 50 Payroll (desired)

Strong administration skills with high attention to detail and accuracy whilst being able to work at a fast-pace in a high-growth environment.


Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to forward plan to ensure targets and set deadlines are met as expected.


Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills along with a dynamic approach are essential to succeed in this role.
The successful candidate will illustrate a positive attitude and desire to succeed.
