AML Officer – Payments Services (Part Time)

iiPay has a unique opportunity for a highly motivated payments specialist to own and deliver global payments processing to help drive our goal of ‘Paying the Planet’.

 

Role Overview

 

To complement iiPay’s core payroll service business it has identified two areas of significant opportunity. Firstly, offering payroll related payment services to clients to cover net pay, taxes and other deductions. The majority of these transactions would be executed from UK accounts and would cover beneficiaries in potentially over 75+ countries. Secondly, iiPay wishes to accelerate the opportunity it has various Clinical Research Organizations around the world, via its exclusive partnership with Medidata Inc., to support clinical trial payments. Having conducted a thorough review of our solutions and processes, iiPay are currently in the process of applying to the FCA to be an Authorized Payments Institution (API).

 

The job-holder would be expected to bring the necessary expertise to ensure that iiPay is compliant with regard to payment activities.

The jobholder would be expected to bring the necessary expertise to ensure that iiPay is compliant regarding payment activities:

 

  • To be up to date with all compliance laws regarding payment services and relevant FCA regulations and provide iiPay with advice and guidance on all relevant and regulatory obligations and requirements
  • Ensure that iiPay’s AML policies are reviewed periodically and kept up to date
  • Ability to communicate these to the Executive team, Leadership team and the wider business through the develop and execution of communication strategies
  • Ensure that the company’s policies for Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Corruption are kept up to date and that they are followed by all employees
  • Develop compliance dashboard so performance against pre-determined objectives can be measured
  • Develop systems and reporting so that transactions are monitored, and appropriate action taken when red flags raised
  • Provide Financial Crime education, awareness and training to the business as required while promoting best practice
  • Liaise with regulators and compliance third parties to deal with any outstanding matters
  • Appointed as the company’s MLRO

 

 What are we looking for in you?

 

  • Demonstrable knowledge of compliance obligations with respect to APIs and in particular knowledge and understanding of the Payment Services Regulation 2017
  • Previous working experience and exposure to AML regulations in the UK market
  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to communicate with peers, payment providers, clients and external vendors as necessary
  • Solid understanding of international payments, experience beneficial
  • Aptitude for working to strict deadlines
  • Ability to problem solve and pay close attention to detail
  • Strong time management – able to prioritise workload and ensure all tasks are completed, at both an independent and team level
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and Excel
