iiPay has a unique opportunity for an experienced and motivated Frontend Web Developer who wants to be part of this rapidly expanding business, taking on the responsibility for developing new systems and extending the capabilities of our current platforms.


Role Overview


Our highly motivated and engaged team members are at the heart of our success! This role requires a valuable contribution to the development and maintenance of the systems used by our payment teams, to ensure accurate and timely delivery of our service. The Frontend Web Developer will be responsible for a variety of UI technologies and must have a solid grasp of security fundamentals as they relate to web-based applications.


The systems to be developed and supported cover the entire operational lifecycle, therefore the successful candidate will need to deliver intuitive user experiences for various use cases, from initial data exchange and loading, through processing and reporting output and data visualizations.


They will be expected to liaise closely with the business analysis team, backend development teams as well as our internal payment teams.



The successful candidate requires experience, skills and a proven track record in the following areas:


  • Demonstrated ability to perform at an elevated level in a high-growth, fast-paced, and technical environment
  • Producing design specifications from analysis documents
  • Prioritize, assign and execute tasks throughout the software development life cycle
  • Implementation of rich user interfaces / experiences
  • Conduct software analysis, testing, and debugging
  • Write well-designed, efficient code
  • Review, test and debug your code
  • Improve operational efficiency for users through technology
  • Ensure our applications are secure and up to date
  • Ability to problem solve, provide solutions and play an interactive role within a team environment
  • Investigating innovative technologies and developments within the software/web industry


What we are looking for in you?


  • Continuously looking for innovative web-based solutions to solve problems
  • Experience of the whole software development process
  • Significant and demonstrable experience with HTML and CSS (Flexbox and CSS Grid) to deliver responsive designs
  • Experience working with external APIs e.g. REST
  • Experience with Angular, Typescript, JavaScript or other similar libraries (React, Vue)
  • Have a good understanding of design and user experience principles
  • Experience of dealing with cross-browser compatibility requirements
  • A solid grasp of source control techniques
  • Ability to produce readable well engineered code
  • Good delegation and time management skills
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communications skills
  • Continuous Learner
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with product development, QA, and internal users
  • A relevant degree or other recognised industry qualification
  • Additional language skills are highly desirable given the international nature of our business.


The successful applicant will ideally have experience in payroll, financial or human capital management software development. They should have the ability to become a systems expert and have experience of managing and prioritising workloads. They should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, and possess a keen attention to detail. They will be required to work in a global environment, with clients that have an expectation of service excellence.
