IT Support Technician (Remote)

iiPay has a unique opportunity for a highly experienced and motivated IT Support Technician who wants to utilise their IT maintenance and support skills to help drive to our goal of ‘Paying the Planet’.

 

All our roles can be performed remotely with occasional visits to the office as requested by your manager. Where we have office locations, our team members are welcome to work: remotely, on a hybrid basis or fully office based as they wish.

 

Role Overview

 

Our highly motivated and engaged team members are at the heart of our success!  As an IT Support Technician, you will be expected to complete necessary IT maintenance and 1st /2nd line support tasks.  You will ensure that IT support requests are managed effectively and responded to in a timely manner, either by completing requests yourself or triaging and assigning them within our helpdesk system when required. You will be required to go into the office a couple of times a month.

Requirements:

The successful candidate requires a minimum 2 years of IT experience in a support role and the ability to demonstrate a proven track record in the following areas:

 

  • Monitor our Helpdesk ticketing system, completing support requests as appropriate, in accordance with our internal procedures and KPIs
  • Allocate tickets to Helpdesk agents when they cannot be completed by yourself
  • Monitor responses to requests raised with the Helpdesk
  • Provide remote, telephone and email support to end users across all iiPay’s locations
  • Maintain our high standards particularly regarding end user communications and response times
  • Create new user accounts and manage and update permissions and passwords where required
  • Support the in-house hardware (i.e. Changing printer toner, replacing cables, setting up video conferencing, onboarding and offboarding users, moving computers etc.)
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current operating systems and standard software packages, including both Microsoft Windows and Office 365
  • Engage in training opportunities to further develop skills and knowledge in key areas, such as desktop support, networking, and operating systems
  • Complete any other tasks as requested by your line manager or a senior member of staff
  • Greet new team members in the office on their first day to ensure that they have the correct equipment and that it is all working

 

What are we looking for in you?

 

  • A relevant IT/Computing qualification is preferable but not essential
  • Experience with Microsoft operating systems, including installation and configuration, Active directory, 365 etc
  • Experience with computer and peripheral hardware servicing and basic repairs
  • Knowledge and understanding of standard office software packages
  • A good standard of written and oral communication
  • Ability to work effectively both on your own and within a team environment taking direction from and supporting other colleagues
  • The ability to manage time and be flexible and adaptable to customer needs and business requirements
