iiPay has a unique opportunity for a highly experienced and motivated Product Development Manager who wants to lead the Product Development team based in Budapest to ensure our clients have a high functioning, innovative system to help drive to our goal of ‘Paying the Planet’.

 

Role Overview

 

Our highly motivated and engaged team members are at the heart of our success!  This role requires providing continuous support and assistance to the product development team, managing the workload and monitoring and evaluating the output to ensure service excellence for our clients.  A successful Product Development Manager is able to define what high-performance is for the team, and helps the team achieve the organization objectives through coaching, mentoring, motivation and leadership.

 

The individual will be a highly motivated, self-starter able to proactively interact with other business areas worldwide to drive forward with our product roadmap. A solid grasp of back-end processing and reporting, security fundamentals as they relate to web-based applications, data transformation and exchange, as well as web-based user interface will all be essential.

 

Key objectives of the role

 

The successful candidate requires minimum 3 years of experience managing a development team and the ability to demonstrate a proven track record in the following areas:

  • The ability to influence and make effective business decisions and be held accountable for them
  • Be responsible for the components owned by your team, participate in the whole software development lifecycle from design to operation while ensuring quality, maintainability and performance
  • Strong business acumen to take complex technical information and map it to business impact for executive stakeholders
  • A proven track record of driving for and achieving results including outside the box thinking
  • Ability to quickly build credibility and trust for effective collaboration towards mutual outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability in fast-paced, high change environments to strive to maintain a positive culture and work environment.
  • Client focused to ensure service excellence and a system that allows for intuitiveness, simplicity and ease-of-use
  • Collaboration with other managers globally
  • Liaising and coordinating with the UK development team to ensure shared projects are delivered to schedule
Requirements:

What are we looking for in you?

  • 3 years minimum management experience
  • 7 years minimum development experience
  • Experience in programming in C# and Java
  • Some knowledge of legacy systems such as ASP, ASPX, CSHTML sites as well as basic UI web skills including HTML, CSS and JavaScript/JQuery is beneficial
  • Thorough understanding of key cloud application technologies / techniques and conscious of the requirements in the creation of secure solutions
  • Experience of Amazon Web Services or the Microsoft Azure Platform
  • A solid grasp of source control techniques
  • An understanding of database technologies i.e. data modelling and SQL
  • Good delegation, time management and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with a focus on listening and questioning

The successful candidate will ideally have experience in a payroll, financial or human capital management software development.
