iiPay has a unique opportunity for an experienced Technical Project Manager to drive the delivery of key technical projects across the business to ensure their successful roll out, acceptance, and to build understanding of the effectiveness of these projects to help drive our goal of ‘Paying the Planet’

 

Role overview

The role will partner with our Product Manager to align on roadmap structure, prioritisation, and delivery, as well as providing a key link between the Product Development team and the wider business, facilitating key communications, change management, stakeholder management and external third parties.

 

The Technical Project Manager will work with the Product Development team to co-ordinate the on-time delivery of technical projects, from initial planning and requirements gathering through to the successful deployment into the business. The Technical Project Manager is responsible for owning the end to end delivery of the technical release to ensure the objectives of the project are met and the returns are fully delivered for iiPay.

 

This will include the requirements gathering, technical design, development, testing and maintenance activities. You will create & manage delivery plans and required development resources to ensure business requirements are completely satisfied, on time and within budget.

 

Requirements:

 

The successful candidate requires experience, skills, and a proven track record in the following areas:

 

  • Produce and manage the technical project plan to deliver the successful roll-out of the iiPay software & technology across the business through the application of ‘best in class’ project and change management to meet both functional and non-functional requirements, within allocated resources
  • Communicate key messages, track progress, and determine key project risks
  • Coordinate the project team through effective engagement and collaboration to gather user requirements, ensure a common sense of purpose, an understanding of the key outcomes and how these will be achieved
  • Work in partnership with IT, the rest of the Product Development team, and in collaboration with key internal stakeholders (Implementations, Sales, Operations etc.) to ensure shared ownership for the delivery of project deliverables and outcomes
  • Leverage professional skills, influence, and organizational resources to effectively manage the project team to support on-time delivery on objectives whilst managing expectations
  • Support the key stakeholders to define the detailed project requirements and ensure that any additional scope is managed via good change control
  • Support communications with external teams and third-party suppliers to maintain project delivery
  • Establish and sustain an effective governance framework to ensure the appropriate level of oversight and control is in place across all project activities including weekly status reporting and overall programme reporting
  • Play an active role in developing the Product Development Team to improve the profile and performance of the team. Utilise knowledge and experience to help enhance the processes and tools used in iiPay to drive more efficient projects and to deliver an ever-greater client experience
  • Help support the business with the business transformation agenda through supporting internal change projects and process definition

 

What are we looking for in you?

 

  • A minimum of three years technical project management experience, delivering technical solutions and software projects
  • Client management experience
  • Exceptional diplomatic communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts in a more simple and logical manner
  • Demonstrated ability to assess situations, determine importance, urgency, and risks; makes timely decisions which are in the best interest of the client and iiPay
  • Strong organization skills including the ability to establish priorities, develop work plans, assess progress towards goals, and pay attention to detailed data and information.
  • Highly resilient in the face of adversity and manages stress, effectively, in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Ability to work autonomously as a self-starter
  • Confidence in dealing with ambiguity, uncertainty, and the need to change rapidly
  • Experience of working with software development teams with a robust understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Experience of management of 3rd party vendors and suppliers
  • Decision making based on analytical insight and experience
  • Must have strong team management ability, influencing and organizational awareness
  • Ability to produce & maintain the right documentation and deliverables for the projects. E.g. technical process maps, detailed project timelines, specifications, etc.
  • Ability to positively resolve conflicts
  • Experience in the payroll, financial or human capital management field
  • Additional language skills given the international nature of our business
  • PM qualification such as Agile, SCRUM
