iiPay has a unique opportunity for a highly enthusiastic and motivated North American Tax, Garnishment and Amendments Specialist who wants to be responsible for North America Payroll Tax, Garnishment and Amendments to help drive to our goals.

 

Role Overview

Our highly motivated and engaged team members are at the heart of our success!  The successful candidate will be Working alongside the iiPay USA Payroll Team and will be responsible for the USA Tax, Garnishment and Amendments advisory service to support a range of international clients.

 

The post holder will play an integral role on the payroll team working closely with the implementation and Operations team; working through complex issues, transactions, and projects independently as well as collaboratively with cross functional team members. To ensure North American Payroll compliance and efficiency with federal and state laws and company policies (minimum wage, sick time reinstatement, holiday pay, sick time accrual types, etc.)

 

This role requires strong technical and analytical skills of multi-state payroll, payroll taxes, garnishments, workers comp, reporting, process flows, payroll/HR systems.

 

This position is hands-on and requires attention to detail, timeliness, and customer service

 

This position is based in Dallas

 

Key objectives of the role

The successful candidate requires minimum 5 years’ experience and the ability to demonstrate a proven track record in the following areas:

  • Strong knowledge of USA Payroll Tax, Garnishments and Amendments.
  • Ensure compliance with all garnishment and support orders including federal, state, and local tax withholding.
  • Assist with year-end payroll tax activities, including preparation, and verification of W-2 data.
  • Experience in researching and resolving tax notices
  • Assist Payroll team with 401K and Workers’ Compensation audits.
  • Knowledge of local tax setup (multi-states)
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, laws, practices, and procedures within payroll field including federal and state labour and tax laws.
  • Understanding of SOX compliance as it relates to HR/Payroll.
  • will evaluate internal SOX controls and processes and make recommendations to ensure a best practices and efficient payroll environment.
  • Completing L&I/TDI returns
  • Auditing Payroll returns
  • Compiling spreadsheet with check requests/EFTs
  • Annually ensuring receipt of all tax rate notices, and auditing data entry
  • Assist with workers compensation reporting for multi-states for multiple clients
