iiPay has a unique opportunity for a highly experienced and motivated Performance Test Engineer who wants to be part of this rapidly expanding business, taking on the responsibility for requirements gathering and technical analysis functions to help drive to our goal of ‘Paying the Planet’.
All our roles can be performed remotely with occasional visits to the office as requested by your manager. Where we have office locations, our team members are welcome to work remotely, on a hybrid basis or fully office based as they wish.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Performance Test Engineer to join our growing software testing capability in Romania. The Performance Test Engineer will be ensuring that cloud based software applications function smoothly and efficiently to end users under stress and load conditions. You’ll need to be able to build appropriate datasets to ensure system performance can comply with the business demand and load requirements.
The Performance Test Engineer will be fully immersed in supporting our key technology products to align with business growth. In addition, you will be part of a wider product development team that helps us to deliver a valuable product platform that is stable and scalable to align with the overall success of the company.
Requirements:
- Work with architects, automation test engineers and subject matter experts to understand non-functional requirements and capabilities needed.
- Review non-functional requirements and develop performance and stress tests ensuring full coverage of the product suite.
- Develop, execute, maintain performance test scripts using appropriate technologies.
- Analysis and building of complex and large volumes of data.
- Carry out root-cause analysis and identify and log performance issues and system limitations.
- Generate performance and stress test reports for internal stakeholders with recommendations for improvement.
What we are looking for in you
- Strong performance testing experience of cloud applications using a User interface to backend services and APIs.
- Hands-on Performance testing experience developing using performance tools such as JMeter, Load Runner or Gatling
- Java programming experience.
- Expertise in stress testing and performance analysis and designing performance tests around stress, load, and saturation testing.
- Experience in identifying system limitation and provide improvement suggestions.
- Experience and understanding of performance monitoring & diagnostic tools.
- Knowledge of Networking & Web Server Technologies including load balancing and firewalls.
- Strong experience of producing performance test reports.
- Experience of DevOps tooling such as Gitlab, and TeamCity
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
